The Church is faced with many issues today.  Our nation needs solutions to address problems with our economy, families, and environment.  People want change; and while change is needed, mature Christians know that the key to that change can’t be found in legislation, a political party, or a candidate.  We have a major part to play in exercising our civil and moral duties, but the Church’s greater mandate is to look beyond ourselves … to see the needs of others.
 
Be Global is that mandate facing the Church today.  We need to elevate our perspective to one that provides access to nations where citizens have no opportunity to hear the Gospel.  It’s vital that our plan of action is one that elevates ministry to those who are oppressed and in need of a touch from the Living God.  The God we serve is concerned about injustice, hunger, pollution, war, and future generations.  Now, more than ever before, the Church is being called to influence our world. By operating in unity with a Global perspective and approach to ministry, we can make an impact and see the Great Commission accomplished in our lifetime. The technology and access is available.  Missionaries are waiting to serve.  The infrastructure is in place.  It’s now up to the Body of Christ to act with hearts of obedience and sacrifice.  When we give as He gives, see as He sees and move as He leads then the “things of this world” will no longer have the draw for our focused attention and finances.  
 
Kathy and I believe that God’s strategy for change is based on Eternal Principles.  Long ago, Covenant identified an Eight-Step battle plan; (1) Mobilizing Covenant members to go to the nations  (2) Training effective mission teams  (3) Building consistent prayer support (4) Developing a servant’s heart  (5) Raising Awareness of other cultures and our responsibility for evangelism (6) Inspiring members to give generously to mission endeavors  (7) Making A Difference in the lives of our missionaries and (8) Participating On Short-term Missions Trips.
 
Let’s all refocus on the task at hand.  Pick one from the list above, two, or all eight; but make the choice to do something to impact your World.  Our true worship, prayer and giving will not only change us but will also change the Nations of the World.  Choose to Be Global Today!
